Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
Haha hey thanks! Got the brown ones as my first ever pair, from my girlfriend. And got the tan sperrys online. Such a versatile shoe.
Mike Posner - The Scientist (Coldplay Cover)
My first audio post.
This song is terrific in the first place, and the electronic production that Posner is famous for shines through. Definitely a song to think to.
I’m sitting here watching Whale Wars, a show on Animal Planet about activists doing everything they can to sabotage a whaling fleet, and I can’t help but think of the parallels between whale activists and pro-life activists. Why does saving a whale warrent a TV show, where campaigning for a human life is close-minded and harmful to freedom? Is it because a whale is beautiful, unique, majestic, and helpless? I argue that an unborn child is all of that and more. Genesis 9:6 says “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.” I assert that the lives of newborns are at the very least, of the same importance as the life of whales and Americans should protest the slaughter of newborns by voting for pro-life legislation. Why cry at the death of a whale if you encourage the death of babies to become not only legal, but commonplace?
